Moneygram, Western Union and other instant transfers. Transfer money to Thailand

How to transport money and send large sums, for example, to buy real estate? Best currencies for purchase are dollar and euro.

This is the most profitable way to transport money, because... you do not pay bank commissions. Currency must be declared if the amount exceeds the permissible limits for the transportation of money.

Export from Russia of amounts over $10,000 is subject to declaration.

When importing into Thailand, amounts over $20,000 must be declared.

If you want to transport small amount(up to 500,000 baht) and do not want to declare currency, divide the money into several parts. Be sure to leave some of the funds in cash (in case the card is blocked), and scatter the remaining amounts among the cards.

Be sure to notify the banks that you are traveling to Thailand and intend to use the cards there.

When purchasing real estate you will need a special FET certificate(Foreign Exchange Trahsfer), which confirms that the money was brought from your country and not earned in Thailand. To do this, you need to open an account in a Thai bank and transfer money to it from a Russian bank.

How to do it? Before leaving, issue a general power of attorney for a relative, and then take a copy of the power of attorney to the bank where you have an account. It is not necessary to tell the bank that this is money to buy real estate. Upon arrival in Thailand:

  • Open an account in a Thai bank.
  • Call a relative in your country and ask to send money to a Thai account.

IMPORTANT! The purpose of the transfer should be “Helping relatives.” Then the bank will not have any questions.

  • Thai employees will notify you when money arrives.
  • Issue a FET certificate from the bank, which will confirm the transfer from your country.

Where to withdraw money?

There shouldn't be any problems with this. ATMs are everywhere. For one withdrawal, a Thai ATM charges a commission of 180 baht. Maximum amount withdrawals at one time - 20,000 baht.

If you will withdraw an amount above 5,000 baht, I recommend not using an ATM, but going to a bank branch where they will cash you out without commission.

If you open a Thai bank card, you will be able to use your bank's ATMs in the province where you issued the card. In this case, no commission will be charged at the ATM. In another province there will already be a commission - 20 baht per withdrawal.

You can send money to your Thai bank card from any other banks. In addition, you can output electronic currency WebMoney directly to a Thai bank card using the WM-Thailand service.

Bank transfer (TT - telex transfer / bank transfer)

Bank transfer is one of the most inexpensive payment methods. Go to any bank and ask about the procedure for sending money abroad. Please see our bank details in your invoice. You can choose to pay legally. person (company) or individual person (personal account) and you do not have to have a bank account to pay by bank transfer!

Which translation to choose, legal? face or physical face?
It depends on your country's laws, your bank's rules and the amount. For example, for citizens of Russia, small transfers are equally easy to make to any account, large ones (over $10,000) are easier to transfer to the account of a legal entity, and for citizens of Ukraine it is difficult to send to the account of a legal entity. persons, but at the expense of individuals. The faces are very simple.

Attention!

1. If there is an intermediary bank between your bank and ours, you pay the intermediary bank's fees, usually $10-$15. The exact amount of the invoice should be credited to our account.
2. After payment, be sure to send us the payment slip by e-mail or fax indicating your invoice number.
3. In Russian banking forms Instead of "a\c name (account name)", "beneficiary" or "recipient" is often used. Do not forget to copy all data from your invoice correctly. The payment will not go through if the name and account number, as well as details of the recipient's bank, are not provided.

If your bank does not have a direct connection with our bank, as well as a correspondent account in a New York bank, or simply does not know how to send direct bank payments and for this purpose uses an intermediary bank, the sender is obliged to pay the fee of the intermediary bank (international practice).
Once the money arrives in our account, we pay our bank's bank fees (we do not ask you to pay our bank's fees) in Thai baht, usually the same amount of 10-15 dollars.
Your bank is required to know the shipping fees, as well as the intermediary bank. If they don't want to check this information(which is usual for Russia and Sberbank), then add an additional 15 dollars to the payment and based on the bank statement upon receipt of the payment (we will send it to you), we will make a mutual settlement with you.

What happens if you do not receive the full invoice amount?
In this case, your order status will change to " Bank commission"and you will be sent a letter with explanations, and your manager will also send you a statement from our bank for confirmation. You will need to pay the difference, usually it is convenient to do this with Robokassa, as it allows you to easily pay small amounts in 36 ways. Only after payment in full amount, your status will be changed to “Paid” and vouchers will be sent to you.
An extract from our bank shows the original amount received in dollars, and then the amount after conversion into Thai baht, and finally, the commission that Ivan Susanin pays in Thai baht. We always pay our commission ourselves, but in Thailand we must receive total amount according to the invoice, and not less.

Important advice: when you go to the bank, take the invoice with you, having first copied all the data from the invoice, but do not show it to the bank employee. Oddly enough, most shipping problems appear when you show the invoice, as our clients have written about many times on the forum at.
If they really don’t want to send without an invoice, you can always show it.

Experience in sending money from our clients (legislation different countries and bank rules may differ!):

1. I paid through ROSBANK, a regular branch on the outskirts of Moscow.
It happened something like this: I came, showed the invoice, and said - I need to send the money to Tai. They tell me - will you open an account or not? I decided without opening it. OK! Write an application in which you MUST indicate:
Corresponded Bank (beneficiary's correspondent bank)
A/C name (beneficiary)
A/C number(beneficiary account)
Swift No
In the column "Purpose of payment" write - translation Money for current expenses in favor of a non-resident
After that, pay the Invoice + $40 in 2-3 days money in Thailand.

2. I paid by bank transfer from Ukraine through Bank Aval (fortunately I work here myself).
The main problem with Ukrainian legislation is that you cannot pay to legal entity without supporting documents (originals) translated into Ukrainian, etc.
There is a way out - you can pay the equivalent of $1,000 per month from one current account in favor of a non-resident individual. Therefore, I took the details of a personal account (individual) and sent it as a private transfer.
The bank commission for the transfer is 20 US dollars, during the transfer another 15 dollars are withdrawn by some intermediary bank (although, according to the terms of the transfer, the net amount should already be received)
Sent a copy of the SWIFT message by email, money arrives within 2 business days. Everything seemed to go well.

3. If there is a certificate of purchase of currency, then by simple bank transfer. Come with your passport, invoice and money. As I understand it, the transfer amount should not exceed $3,000 (need to be clarified), which is due to the limitation on the amount of $ that can be taken abroad by a private individual. Write a translation of the invoice on the spot, or rather, only the purpose of the payment. The bank charges 0.2% or $10 per transaction, whichever is greater. Payment goes until 4 banking days. It is advisable to know in advance whether the intermediary bank will take a percentage of the transfer. (It definitely takes euros). If this is unknown, then tell the bank that if something happens you will pay extra, leave your phone number, and they should call when the answer comes from that bank (that’s what I was told). If there is no certificate, then the bank issues a deposit (opens an account) from which it makes the payment. The account is reset to zero. The costs are the same.

4. Good day everyone!
My experience of payment through VTB24 Telebank. The transfer amount was more than $5,000.
- If the transfer amount is less than $5,000 and you do not have a certificate (Inter-PRO program), you must sign unsigned orders at the bank.
- launched the Inter-PRO program
- Logged on to the Telebank website http://www.vtb24.ru/personal/remote/
Clicked "Log in with certificate".
- Transferred the required amount of rubles to the telebank account (UPI 1038)
- Bought currency (UPI 1111)
- I fill it out currency transfer(UPI 9995), the details in the invoice from Susanin are sufficient to fill out this form
- in the field "Recipient's bank" SWIFT code do not write anything - leave an empty space in the field " Additional details"(the last field in this form at the very bottom) you must enter "Swift address: KASITHBK" - this is an indication of the bank's support service.
- in the field “Commissions of other banks, if any, are paid”, select “Payer”
- in the Recipient "Address" field, entered Susanin's address, which is indicated at the top of the invoice, specifically "786/243-244 Thonglor Tower, 12th Fl, Thonglor soi 18, Sukhumvit 55, Klong Tan Nua", removed extra spaces, dots and the word "Wattana" - met the 80 character requirement
- in the “payment purpose” field I wrote “oplata scheta No.----- ot...... za uslugi”
- field Correspondent bank SWIFT code must be filled in IRVTUS3N
- entered the amount according to the invoice
- filled out all other fields according to the requirements of this form, copying from the invoice
- Click the "Next" button
- Ignore Warning: Correspondent bank: More than one bank was found that matches the entered details.
- check again
- click the “next” button
All other actions to carry out this operation are in accordance with paragraphs.
- By E-mail: telebank@vtb24 subject "For exchange control" I sent a scan of the invoice.
The transfer was made on December 20, confirmation of receipt of money from Susanin arrived on December 23.
Good luck to all. Oleg.

Buying real estate: payment methods

Among people looking to buy property in Thailand, one of the most frequently asked questions is: “How can I move money here?” There are several options - each of them has its own pros and cons.

Transfer of funds for the purchase of real estate - bank transfers

No less convenient, and often more in a profitable way Payments for real estate purchased in Thailand are bank currency transfers (telex transfer). The main advantage of a bank currency transfer is that the conversion rate into baht for dollars or euros received in a Thai bank account is higher (that is, it is the most profitable) than the exchange rate for cash and even traveler's checks.

What restrictions may exist for bank transfers:

  • A one-time bank transfer without providing documents for its purpose in favor of another person cannot exceed the amount of $5,000
  • A one-time bank transfer without providing documents for its purpose to your account abroad or the account of a close relative cannot exceed the amount of $10,000
  • To transfer any amount exceeding those specified above, it is required to provide documents for payment of the contract, invoices or other supporting documents to the bank for currency control. this amount documentation

The main disadvantage is not even the need to provide documents, but the fact that, depending on the specific branch of a particular bank and the literacy of its employees, you may be asked to provide, for example, a notarized translation of a contract into Russian or other documents.

    Bank currency transfer options:

  • Without opening an account - the most expensive money transfer abroad
  • With the opening of an account, as a rule, the commission for transferring funds from a bank account is slightly lower
  • By opening an account through the Internet Banking service, very often independent currency transfers from your account via the Internet also have the lowest transfer fees

For example, the commission for the described options for bank currency transfer in the same bank can be 1.5%, 1% and 0.4%, respectively.

When sending bank transfer it is also necessary to clarify its type (bank mark, claim). The fact is that the banks involved in the transfer (currency transfers rarely go directly) may charge an additional commission for transferring money through themselves.

    Bank currency transfer options:

  • OUR - implies that the transfer fee is charged to the sender. This means that correspondent banks do not “take” the commission from the transfer amount and the recipient receives the entire transfer amount. In Russia, the commission is charged mainly to the sender. That is, they use the OUR option. As a rule, this type of translation is the most expensive.
  • BEN - the BEN option allows you to write off commissions from the recipient of the transfer. Only the transfer amount is debited from the client's account of the sending bank. This type of transfer is usually cheap, but it is difficult to predict how much money will reach the recipient. Abroad, unlike Russia, this type of translation is more popular.
  • SHA - when using the SHA option, the client of the sending bank pays a commission in accordance with the tariffs for its services. All other banks that participate in the money transfer deduct their fees from the payment amount.

Depending on what routes the currency transfer takes, and it usually does not go directly to a Thai bank (Russian banks do not have direct correspondent relations with Thai ones), passing through, for example, an intermediate HSBC or one of the American banks, “along the way” with his commissions are written off. Commissions can be very different, both percentage and fixed. For example, ANY Thai bank charges a fixed 300 or 500 baht for a transfer from abroad, the so-called cross-border duty. The intermediate bank will also take its own commission - typically such commissions are 15-30 dollars. Total in dollars additional expenses on transfer can increase by an amount of $20 or more.

  • Among people looking to buy property in Thailand, one of the most frequently asked questions is: “How can I move money here?” There are several options - each of them has its own pros and cons.

    1. Traveler's checks

American Express traveler's checks are freely exchanged for Thai baht at many banks in Thailand. Their exchange rate is higher than that of cash, and a fixed commission of about 30 baht is taken from each check. Therefore, it is most profitable to purchase travel checks of high denominations, for example 500 or 1000 US dollars or euros.

When opening an account in a bank in Thailand, depositing funds into a bank account using traveler's checks is equated by Thai banks to “receipt of funds into the account from outside Thailand” (relatively speaking, an analogue money transfer from abroad). This means that such funds are sufficient grounds for obtaining a certificate of “foreign origin of funds” (FET) from a Thai bank and purchasing an apartment in the Kingdom of Thailand.

It is not difficult to purchase traveler's checks in Russia. Contact branches of various banks and find out the following questions:

Does the bank sell travelers checks at all?

What is the commission for the sale of traveler's checks (can reach 1-2% of the amount, as a rule, should not exceed 0.5%)?

What denominations of traveler's checks are offered (largest ones preferred)?

What is the method of payment for traveler's checks (most often banks sell traveler's checks for cash) and the exchange rate (if you will pay for traveler's checks in rubles)?

How much traveler's checks can be purchased at a time and do they need to be pre-ordered several days in advance?

Having found out the answers to these questions, choose the most convenient and profitable bank, order traveler's checks for the required amount and required denominations, and go purchase them.

ATTENTION: According to the restrictions of currency control of the Central Bank of Russia, all transactions related to the acquisition or exchange of currency in amounts exceeding 700 thousand rubles fall under control. Therefore, we recommend not to exceed this threshold for one-time purchases of traveler's checks.

To purchase traveler's checks you will need a Russian and (or) foreign passport. Your first and last name will be copied from your passport in Latin letters. After purchasing traveler's checks from the bank, you will be given two papers:

    · standard bank certificate (analogous to a currency exchange certificate) - may be required by customs officers when exporting traveler's checks from Russian Federation

    · a receipt from the company issuing traveler's checks (American Express) - this will only be required if your traveler's checks are lost to restore them and may (but not necessarily) be asked by the Thai bank clerk to make a photocopy of it.

When purchasing traveler's checks, you, in the presence of the bank teller, must sign each check, but only in one place for signature (checks have two places for signature). The second signature is placed only when cashing a traveler's check at a bank in Thailand (also in the presence of a cashier) and is a guarantee that you are the owner of this check. It is not necessary to sign the traveler's check with the same signature that appears on your passport or international passport. The signature in both two places of the check can be absolutely arbitrary, the main thing is that your second signature, made at the time of cashing, coincides with the first.

Restrictions on the export of currency in traveler's checks in force Russian legislation not provided. When exported from the Russian Federation, they are subject to declaration individuals in writing, if their amount exceeds the equivalent of $10 thousand, without indicating the purpose of the acquisition. In other cases, exported traveler's checks are declared in writing by individuals at will. This information is of interest only to the customs service and is not provided to other authorities. If checks are not declared and they are found in your possession, the checks will be confiscated until you return to the Russian Federation.

In a Thai bank, when crediting money to your account, in addition to the traveler's checks themselves, you will need a foreign passport, possibly a receipt from the issuing company (photocopies are taken of the foreign passport and receipt). This is also where you will put a second signature on your traveler's checks. After following all the simple formalities described, you become the owner of an account in Thai baht of a Thai bank, from which transactions will be carried out to pay for your purchase of real estate in Thailand, and the bank will issue a certificate for the purchase of real estate.

    2. Bank transfer.

An equally convenient and sometimes more profitable method of paying for real estate purchased in Thailand is bank currency transfers (telex transfer). The main advantage of a bank currency transfer is that the conversion rate into baht for dollars or euros received in a Thai bank account is higher (that is, it is the most profitable) than the exchange rate for cash and even traveler's checks.

What restrictions may exist for bank transfers:

    · A one-time bank transfer without providing documents for its purpose in favor of another person cannot exceed the amount of $5,000

    · A one-time bank transfer without providing documents for its purpose to your account abroad or the account of a close relative cannot exceed the amount of $10,000

To transfer any amount exceeding those indicated above, it is required to provide the bank for currency control with documents for payment of the contract, invoices or other documents confirming this amount. When transferring from your account in Russia to your account in Thailand, you are required to provide the bank with a certificate from your tax office that you notified her about your opening an account abroad!

The main disadvantage is not even the need to provide documents, but the fact that, depending on the specific branch of a particular bank and the literacy of its employees in Russia, you may be asked to provide, completely unauthorized, for example, a notarized translation of a contract into Russian or other documents in Russian . List official documents given above.

    Bank currency transfer options:

    · Without opening an account - the most expensive money transfer abroad

    · With the opening of an account – as a rule, the commission for transferring funds from a bank account is slightly lower

    · With the opening of an account through the Internet Banking service, very often independent currency transfers from your account via the Internet also have the lowest transfer fees.

For example, the commission for the described options for bank currency transfer in the same bank can be 1.5%, 1% and 0.4%, respectively.

When sending a bank transfer, you must also clarify its type. The fact is that the banks involved in the transfer (currency transfers rarely go directly) may charge an additional commission for transferring money through themselves.

Depending on how the currency transfer proceeds, when passing through intermediate foreign banks, “on the road”, commissions are deducted from him. Commissions can be percentage or fixed. In addition, ANY Thai bank will write off a fixed 300 or 500 baht for a transfer from abroad. The intermediate bank will also take its own commission - typically such commissions are 20-30 dollars. The total amount in dollars upon arrival to the account will be 20-50 dollars less.

    3. Bank cards.

Debit and credit payment cards VISA systems and Mastercard are accepted for payment almost everywhere in Thailand, and ATMs for withdrawing cash are everywhere. In the offices of some large developers, you can even pay to book an apartment - but this operation will most likely cost you a 3% commission.

Let us immediately note that paying for the purchase of an apartment with a card or withdrawing money from the card does not give you the opportunity to obtain a FET certificate from a Thai bank, which is necessary for purchasing an apartment in a condominium.

When using an ATM card in Thailand, be aware that the card's issuing bank charges a fee for withdrawing cash, and the Thai bank that owns the ATM also charges 150 baht per transaction, regardless of the amount. The limit for one-time cash withdrawal from Thai ATMs, as a rule, does not exceed 20,000, sometimes 25,000 baht. Therefore, when withdrawing, for example, 500,000 baht, your total losses will also be about 3%. If you have a CREDIT Gold card or Platinum, you can contact the branches of some banks and immediately withdraw up to 300,000 baht, but in this case the commission will be at least 3%.

In addition to the above, it should be noted that Thailand is on the list of so-called “high-risk” countries for cardholders. Therefore, it is highly recommended that before your trip you call your bank and find out how the relevant bank service treats card transactions in Thailand - there are often cases when the card was blocked by the bank after several or even after the first transaction in Thailand.

An obvious plus bank cards The fact is that you can withdraw cash or pay for a small purchase in literally minutes. But operating with more or less significant amounts will be expensive and not always possible. Each card has its own daily and monthly limit, so before your trip, check with your bank to see what limit is available to you.

    4. Cash currency.

This is the most inappropriate way to buy real estate. There are no restrictions on the import of currency into Thailand, but taking out large amounts legally is extremely problematic. In addition, even if you managed to take out a “suitcase of greens,” exchanging cash does not give you the right to receive a FET certificate from a Thai bank! So you can only buy a house or land with this money, and you will have to forget about buying an apartment in a condominium.

Very often there is a need to transfer money to Thailand from Russia to a private person, for example, to buy or rent an apartment or house. Today we will tell you how this can be done quickly and profitably. The post will also be useful for all those who have a Thai bank card and who want to transfer money to Thailand more profitably than if they withdraw it from Russian map.

    Background

We decided to live on Samui for a month at the beginning of next year: we will arrange a vacation at the seaside, since in Pattaya this is not so smooth (meaning the clean sea). Therefore, the question arose of booking a house (I don’t really want to look for housing on the spot). In this regard, we found good Russian realtors who found us an excellent option right on Maenam beach (50 meters from the water) at an affordable price. And then the question arose of transferring the advance payment for renting the house to them.

Transfer money from a Russian card to Thailand

They calculated the advance for us in rubles at the current exchange rate, plus they included 200 baht in the payment for cashing out money in Thailand (everything is standard here, no crime). But literally the day before, we learned that it was possible to instantly transfer money to Thailand from a ruble card, without any commissions and at a more favorable rate.

As a result, using the vipchanger service, we saved 2,000 rubles. And besides, now we have completely stopped withdrawing money in Pattaya from our ruble card, but transfer it to our Thai card and do not pay any commissions. Very convenient and profitable!

So if you need to transfer money to Thailand from Russia or Ukraine, we recommend using this service. All without deception. Checked personally!

Note: Before transferring money, be sure to register for the service, so you will receive a discount on all your transactions.
