Add passes to Passbook. Once you've installed the app you want, you can start adding them to Passbook. Just remember that not every service uses the Passbook feature. If you don't see the option Passbook usage, then the program does not support it. But if passes are still available to you, you can add them to your phone in three main ways:

  • Through an app that supports Passbook. If you use Passbook to buy tickets, check a flight, buy a gift certificate, or complete any money transfer, the app will prompt you to add the pass to Passbook. To use this offer, find it by first tapping on Passbook, or by finding this app on the home screen.
  • Via email or message. You can also send or receive a pass as an attachment or a link sent via email or text message. If you received a pass via email or message, simply click on it and wait for it to be added to Passbook. For example, a letter confirming your purchase of tickets may contain a pass for them as an attachment.
  • Browsing the Internet on your phone. You can also find passes on various websites. To add them to Passbook, you just need to click on them.

Scan the code to add a pass. If you have a physical barcode to pass, you can scan it and add them to your Passbook. This is especially useful for tickets that are not automatically added. To scan the code, click on the "Scan Code" link at the top of the Passbook home page. Point the camera at the barcode you want to scan and hold the camera steady.

  • Use your passes. When passes appear on your phone, you will have to learn how to use them. Some passes may automatically appear at a certain time and place, like your boarding pass after you arrive at the airport. To display the scan pass, all you have to do is unlock your iPhone.

    • If your pass doesn't appear on the home screen, find and select it from Passbook.
    • The pass may not appear on the home screen due to the fact that the "Show on the main screen" option for this pass may be disabled or the pass seller does not support this action.
  • Set up pass options. To customize your pass options, click the info icon to view settings and more information about a particular pass. The information window will allow you to remove the pass by clicking on the trash can icon, display or not display the pass on the main screen, and enable auto-update for the pass. To enable the skip display or the auto-update option, you need to set the slider to the “on” position.

    • The info window also provides more data regarding the pass itself, like contact information about the provider of this pass, which can be useful if, for unknown reasons, the pass does not work.
  • Today we are going to figure out how to add a card to Wallet. A similar question arises, as a rule, among the owners of equipment from the Apple company. What is this application? How to use it? All these questions will be answered below. In fact, to cope with the task is easier than it seems.

    Program description

    iPad and Wallet

Not only on smartphones from Apple, it is possible to activate Wallet. You can bring your idea to life on iPads. In this case, you will have to act a little differently than what was suggested earlier.

How to add a card to Wallet? You will need to do the following:

    1. Go to the "Settings" section.
    2. Select Apple Pay and Wallet.
    3. Click on "Add...".

To do this, you must perform the following steps:

    1. Find the Watch program on the iPhone that came with the watch and launch it.
    2. Open "My watch".
    3. Add an existing one to the application
    4. Click on Wallet and Pay Pal.
    5. Click on "Add payment card".
    6. Specify bank details.
    7. Confirm actions.

If you want to add plastic that is already connected to the iPhone, just click on the "Add" button. This is where all the manipulations end. You can now use Apple Pay on your Apple Watch.

    Other cards

How to add a discount card to Wallet? In general, the algorithm of actions will not differ much from the previously proposed instructions. The main thing - just click on the appropriate button. For example, "Add a discount card" or "Add a gift card".

What's next? You have to either scan the plastic, or enter the details manually. After confirming the operations, everyone will be able to use certain cards without any problems. In fact, everything is much simpler than it seems.

    About card payments

We figured out how to add cards to iPhone Wallet. But how can they be used?

If the point of sale has support for Apple Pay, a person can simply pick up the phone, launch the appropriate application and bring the "apple" device to the reader. Within a few seconds, the payment will be made.

Is it possible to add several bank cards to "Vallet"? Yes. In this case, you will have to follow the previously proposed instructions. When paying bills, Apple Pay will prompt you to select the plastic from which the funds will be debited.

    Results

Now it's clear how to work with Wallet iPhone. In reality, everything is much simpler than it seems.

The only device with which a person will not be able to work through "Vallet" is the iPod. With such devices, adding plastic cards is simply incompatible. And no tricks and secrets will help eliminate this feature.

Every year more and more banks in Russia begin to support Apple Pay and Wallet. Therefore, soon almost any plastic can be added to the appropriate application.

    Hello Alexey

The topic of our today's meeting is mobile applications of loyalty cards, why businesses and customers need them, how long it takes to develop such services and how to implement such cards as, for example, Passbook orApple Wallet. What are mobile loyalty cards for?

A: Good afternoon. Mobile loyalty cards have become, in fact, a more modern replacement for plastic bonus and discount cards. There is no need to explain the meaning of such cards for business, since the influence of loyalty systems on increasing sales and customers has long been known. Almost all modern companies, especially network ones, have plastic loyalty cards. And the average buyer of such cards collects impressive stacks, so the principle of “easy to take with you” no longer works with them, and it’s not always possible to go to your favorite store or cafe along the way, because there is a discount there, if the card is left at home or lost . Mobile loyalty cards - wallet, passbook and others - this is a combination of all the pluses of plastic cards, but there are no minuses here.

Alexey, tell me, is it more difficult to develop a loyalty system in a mobile format (AandroidWallet, walletiOS) and how much will it change for the end customer?

A: wallet, passbook and other loyalty applications does not require any knowledge from the user, you only need to enter the application and scan the card. And at the stage of client registration, everything is done by the manager of the store or any institution. As for the development of a mobile loyalty card service and its integration, it takes much less time than creating an application from scratch for each establishment. Besides, Passbook allows the use of one-time cards for single shares of the organization.

The main advantage of mobile loyalty cards over full-fledged mobile applications is the absence of a threshold for installing applications from different brands (shops and other establishments) - the user does not need to install 10-15 mobile applications favorite establishments or shops - all cards are inside one, already installed application wallet. You can download the card from the site or scan the QR code in the institution itself - the card automatically enters the application wallet.

Applewallet, Passbookdiffer in something significant from similar services in terms of functionality?

A: Services Passbook, Wallets are popular because they allow you to standardize all members of loyalty programs in one application. In fact, the maps of various stores are a reflection of the models are loyal sti, which is inherent in the specifics of the brand's business (accrual of bonus points, write-off as a percentage of the order amount, etc.). We believe that this technology has long gone ahead and the entire civilized world has long since switched to this standard. The world is becoming mobile, which means convenient and transparent for all participants in the global market.

What are the other benefits of mobile loyalty cards?

A: In addition to being an electronic analogue of a card, coupon, ticket or subscription, such cards can be distributed via the Internet, and scanning upon purchase occurs in exactly the same way, the card is stored in the device’s memory within the application, and the card provider (shop or institution) can remotely change its content and send alerts. Of the obvious advantages, it is also worth noting that the card is activated on the screen when approaching the geopoint of a store or cafe and, as it were, reminds the user, unobtrusively leading him to purchase.

Through which payment systems do similar applications work with us?

A: Russia is actively developing payment system Apple Pay that works through the interface walletiOS (Applewallet) , increasing the demand for cards integrated into it, and recently Android Pay has appeared, which has already begun to be actively used in large retail and even in the Metropolitan.

Alexey, thanks. And how popular are passbook and apple wallet in Russia? How many companies have already switched to such systems from conventional cards?

A: It's hard to say here, because not every brand will disseminate information about their effective business promotion tools. Nevertheless, I can say that most large companies with a developed loyalty system use mobile loyalty cards, for example, Hugo Boss, Starbucks, Perekrestok and others, which means that these cards work and people use this service. It is worth noting that the release of the cards themselves for the brand is practically reduced to zero costs, since the development of plastic and delivery to its user in the classical scheme must go through a number of intermediaries such as the Russian Post (card logistics), a plastic manufacturer, etc., which essentially reflects on time costs and loss of user loyalty. The rule "here and now" loses its meaning in this case.

But after all, each company has its own system of discounts and bonuses, how can such a system fit completely different formats?

A: There are many types of mobile loyalty cards, the development and integration takes into account the specifics of the client’s business and, of course, the loyalty scheme itself: accumulative, bonus, etc. The most common standard types of mobile loyalty cards are tickets, boarding passes, a one-time coupon system, seasonal passes, personal bonus cards, discount accumulation systems, library cards and much more. Any custom format is also possible.

    - Alexey, how do such systems work?

A: The map is issued in the form of a special .pkpass file, for this purpose special applications are used - map designers. The client can receive such a file by mail, from an application, through a website, by scanning a graphic code, or through a link in an SMS. Next, the client is invited to personalize the card, enter their data. After, through iCloud, the card is added to all user devices. When making a purchase offline, if necessary, the client presents the card to the seller, and he, in turn, reads the code through the device.

Further interaction occurs through the card provider's own API. The client sees notifications and changes on the card, which is especially convenient when, for example, you can pay with bonuses of 20 or 30% of the purchase, the user sees all the information inside the application, which is impossible when using plastic cards.

What business cases can you cite as an example of the introduction of mobile loyalty cards of the typewalletorPassbook?

A: The most classic example is electronic bonus card. Such a card is created according to a template and personalized for the client. Through the application, the card displays the balance and, if necessary, qualifying points. When changing the level of the card, it is reissued by the constructor and replaced in the electronic wallet (Wallet). Sending alerts, including alerts for geolocations, and design changes - everything is standard here, these functions are available when you select any map format. Also, the map, if necessary, is destroyed remotely.

Another example of a business case is loyalty chains.

There is a client behavior scenario that includes the consistent use of the card by different partner companies. With each use, the card transforms, prompting the client to take the next step in the chain. An example is a tourist card: a client arrives in a new city, receives a promo code / coupon for a taxi and a discount on hotel accommodation, after checking into a hotel he receives a discount at a local cafe, when paying at a cafe he receives several options for discounts for visiting local attractions, and so on further, until he leaves the city. A classic plastic card will not be able to implement such complex cases, let alone make them understandable and transparent for users.

Yes, the system is indeed much more "advanced" than plastic cards. Another level. What can a company do for a client? CouncilDevelopmentwithin this area?

A: Company CouncilDevelopment provides a full range of services from consulting to the direct development and implementation of the Wallet mobile loyalty card system Passbook,Androidwallet, walletiOS. We help you choose optimal scheme loyalty for the client, if this is a completely new experience for him, we will agree on the subtleties of loyalty if the client already has a working scheme in the form of plastic cards. We select a solution for the required mobile platforms ( Applewallet,Passbook), we develop and implement a system that is already completely unique and working properly, since testing is also an important step for us, improving the quality of all services provided.

Thus, the client at any stage of development of his business receives a ready-made loyalty system, the most modern and individualized, since we work preferably with passbook, wallet, including android wallet– systems with maximum audience coverage and flexible options for any business and any needs of the client.

Passbook in Russia has great prospects, not only for the user, but also for companies. Especially in light of the latest laws prohibiting SMS mailings. How does this system work in general and how does Apple restrict Russian companies trying to introduce electronic loyalty programs? All this and more in our editorial.

Passbook is awesome. But they use it very rarely in Russia. We do not consider active youth and advanced gadget lovers: they are always at the forefront of progress. Ordinary iPhone owners have never even run this program. And very in vain.

What is the advantage of Passbook and where can I find it

How many plastic loyalty cards have you accumulated? Including those that entitle you to discounts, bonuses and other pleasures of life? Personally, I don’t have enough separate container for them, and this despite the fact that I am an infrequent guest in any establishments. The idea of Passbook is to refuse to carry tourist tickets and plastic cards with you, replacing them with electronic versions. They weigh nothing and always lie in your pocket along with an indispensable smartphone.

If you live in the capital or travel a lot, then you have definitely (and, most likely, repeatedly) tried out Passbook. Many airlines and agents send an electronic copy of the ticket, which is stored in the iPhone as a bookmark. Passbook is also actively used in domestic passenger transportation: for example, Aeroexpress tickets in Moscow and St. Petersburg have been sold this way for a long time. Convenient: I bought it through the app, opened Passbook while passing through the turnstile and scanned the barcode from the screen. No checks and papers, passport or number checks.

But Passbook isn't limited to traveler amenities. The system provides a lot of unique opportunities for companies offering any goods and services. So far, a small proportion of iPhone owners know about this, but this is temporary. The topic is rapidly gaining popularity in Moscow, and sooner or later it will come to all major cities of Russia. The initial difficulties of deployment and the need to educate the masses are many times inferior to the benefits of a well-deployed loyalty program tied to Passbook and other similar systems for Android.

Convenience from the customer's point of view

At the end of last year, I thought about how such systems are being implemented in Russia. So I wrote to Google. As a result, I managed to enter the company OSMICards. They were among the first in Russia to start working in this direction. From here - rapidly growing a list of clients, among which something familiar to you personally will obviously come across.

By contacting the press secretary OSMICards, I received a tip on Moscow companies that have already rolled out a loyalty program compatible with Passbook. Personally, I would like to see How the behind-the-scenes work of the Apple service is arranged and what benefits the implementation of the electronic format of loyalty cards brings. As a result, we were able to look at the issue both from the side of the client and from the side of companies - and understand why Passbook is incredible powerful tool in capable hands.

    HomeBar

First of all, I looked into an unusual, stylized institution HomeBar- This the first restaurant in Russia who introduced Passbook support. Most cafes, bars and restaurants look about the same: stylish, luxurious and soulless. Here they tried to recreate home atmosphere with a powerful retro touch. Such a place is unlikely to become a hit with young people, but there were plenty of people on that snowy, cold and New Year's Eve evening.

To receive a HomeBar bonus card, a visitor needs to fill out a form. This condition is optional, but generally universal for most companies: they receive ordinary physical loyalty cards in the same way. The difference between this questionnaire and those that you have filled out hundreds of times is that there is a curious item offering to receive electronic version smartphone cards. Under it is meant a card for Passbook.

The visitor gives the completed questionnaire to the manager of the hall, who enters it into the database OSMICards through their own web interface. This stage is very powerfully personalized for each specific company: someone prefers to connect the system to an already existing bases and software packages. There are two ways to work with data: a company can deploy the software on its own server or run on OSMICards servers. Each client chooses the option that suits him in terms of security.

In this case, I waited literally a minute - and received this message without leaving the cash register:

The card really came, and together with the check they gave it to me plastic version. Now, to accrue bonuses, it is enough for me to present any of the two cards to the waiter. On this day, the Internet connection failed us all, and therefore my card number was written down by the waitress right on the check. After some time, the bonuses came to the account along with the corresponding message on the iPhone screen:

The Passbook map from HomeBar looks like this:

By the way, if you need to take your parents somewhere, have a meeting with an “old school” person, or just drink beer while watching a football match, this place is perfect.

    Sumosan

Japanese restaurant Sumosan what is in the hotel Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya, not only introduced Passbook support for loyalty cards, but was able to link them to automated system calculations, about which my interlocutors in other organizations spoke with enthusiasm. It is a pity that the details were not disclosed, which did not prevent me from seeing the whole process from beginning to end - including the reverse side.

The conditions for obtaining a card are different everywhere, but as a freeloading journalist, everything was given to me on the spot. For this, a questionnaire is also filled out, in which it is required to confirm your consent to sending the card. Then in the system base OSMICards a client profile is created, the issue of a card for Passbook is approved - and it promptly arrives to the visitor in an SMS message. It remains only to click on the link and save the bookmark in the Passbook's memory.

I was pleasantly surprised by how seriously Sumosane invested in system integration. Passbook discount and promotional cards have a horizontal barcode that can be read wireless scanner from the screen of your smartphone. While you are paying the bill, the waiter fixes the virtual card...

...and the operator scans your table's barcode:

An order placed at your table is automatically linked to your bonus card, and when the check is closed, the earned points go there. At the moment of leaving the restaurant area, I received a coveted notification.

I also received a plastic card. But what's the point of it, if now I can use the virtual one with the same convenience? An example of an almost perfect integration with Passbook, which you now want to see in all your favorite cafes and restaurants. I hope it's a matter of time.

    Lancet Center

In addition to restaurants, it was necessary to look at other formats of institutions - for example, from the field of beauty and health. So I looked into the clinic Lancet Center. A wide variety of aesthetic (cosmetology) procedures are performed here, and clients belong to the wealthy middle class. An ideal habitat for iPhones of all colors and sizes :)

The manager of the salon talked to me about the Passbook Dmitry Babin, a reader of our site and a satisfied owner of a large iPhone. Dmitry was personally involved in implementing the system into existing mechanisms for managing the customer base. The specificity of their industry requires the use of highly specialized software, and its developers had to “butt” for a long time before the available tools became compatible with the modern system of issuing and controlling electronic cards. But the result was worth it.

I spent the evening studying how Passbook works (and OSMICards in particular) on the example of the Lancet-Center clinic. It turns out that the card in the client's passbook is just the tip of the iceberg. Real benefit from it is huge, and the company "wins" no less.

How to earn on Passbook. B2C component

Apple conceived this service not only as a repository of various cards. The fact is that Passbook- it is complete communication channel from business to client. And personalized and targeted. Let's imagine a standard situation.

You get a card in your favorite institution and save it in the memory of your smartphone. The card can be both personal and permanent, or one-time, a la voucher: for example, a basic 3% discount on procedures at the same Lancet Center. At first glance, only you benefited: now you have a discount, bonus points, and so on, and you no longer need to take the plastic version with you. But the company just received a much more important bonus.

With a skillful approach, each card in Passbook turns into a small "promoter" of your company's services and products. Just like a branded iOS app from your favorite restaurant. Think of the e-card not as a "map" but as a "beacon". Or a horn. Using Passbook, business gets the opportunity to notify the client about any promotions, special offers, emergency situations, and so on! The effectiveness of this method of communication exceeds that of any other mailing, and the client himself does not feel deceived, which is incredibly important. On the contrary, he receives information that is of interest to him: otherwise he would not have come to you and saved your card in Passbook!

Dmitry told me about all this with burning eyes, and I myself began to be saturated with his enthusiasm, imbued with the idea. You have 10 thousand clients in the database. Three thousand of them have an iPhone with Passbook preinstalled. By adding a card to each of them (20 seconds while they are calculated at the checkout), you will open a one-way communication channel with these three thousand. At any time, you can offer them any service, tell them about special offers or discounts, invite them to a new branch of the company or announce a change of address. All this will be displayed as a Push notification on the iPhone screen, so it will simply not work to miss it as spam.

An important point: you can implement something like this only through a powerful service base, which Apple does not offer, does not sell, and does not directly support. This is what they do in OSMICards: make it possible to notify the clientele of companies through Passbook and thereby convert each message sent into consumer activity and, as a result, into income.

In fact, OSMICards allows you to first introduce the issuance of electronic loyalty cards, and then turn them into a full-fledged information service that brings income to your business. They also provide tools, links with cash desks, work with someone at the program level ( iiko And Universe), create utilities for the convenience of issuing and receiving cards. Everything you need is in one service package. It sounds advertising, but no one is to blame for what it is :)

How the interface of templates and mailings is implemented

I’ll make a reservation in advance: I tested only one similar service, so I can’t say anything about others. OSMICards can be embedded in any existing program loyalty and customer base, so each has a number of unique features. The universal interface is available to everyone - through the official website OSMICards.com. Among other things, this is where you can change the content of the Passbook card by sending a notification to all customers.

Electronic cards created from templates. By default, there are two templates: a permanent card and a temporary (promotional) card. But you can create them in unlimited quantities. Permanent templates are tied to your customers personally, and promotional templates can be distributed freely, as a tool to stimulate demand or simply to teach visitors how to work with Passbook. Within the framework of the templates, editing of all the features of the map is available. Among them are a description of the promotion, a corporate banner, an image for a Push notification, the color of text blocks and font, an address, and so on.

Any changing the data in the template triggers automatic sending of notifications- to all those who have installed the corresponding card in the iPhone memory. This is exactly what happened the other day, when the Lancet changed the content of the map and added its latest promotion there:

Features of the Passbook standard allow companies to obtain statistics on the effectiveness of electronic loyalty cards. For example, OSMICards displays how many people have installed an electronic card, who has already deleted it from their smartphone or, on the contrary, left it and opens it from time to time. There is also data on device models on which virtual cards are installed.

Interestingly, Passbook supports and geo-targeting. E-card holders from a certain company will receive special alerts when they appear near strictly marked positions on the map. In the case of the Lancet, the clients of the center received the message “You are near us, come in!” If they passed near the organization. These points can also be set in the OSMICards online interface.

What there is not much to change is the content of the page that opens before adding the Passbook card. Apple forbids changing the font, height, words, and in general all the content of this page that follows the button "Add to Passbook". You can't change the button either. All that is allowed to be modified is the top block of text. And even there you can’t fix the terrible formatting of the template from the Cupertinos. Sorry, but there's nothing you can do about it. Such is the branded Cyrillic layout from the company that invented the modern computer font :)

The client is aware - the company is in the money

You can read in detail about the capabilities and features of the service on the official OSMICards website. Representatives of the company promise that the implementation of this system in a new company, on average, takes only a week. If someone has work experience, real deadlines, and in general something interesting on the topic, write in the comments. As for the technology itself...

I hate SMS spam, which has recently been made illegal. I mark regular e-mails as read or delete them without even looking at them. I'm sure this is a common situation for many of us. But Push notifications from Passbook are something new, not boring. Electronic loyalty cards are our inevitable future, and it is already here. Most importantly, not only the seller wins, but also the buyer. We carry less “plastic” with us, and we are informed about promotions directly. Everyone is happy.

I shared my opinion, so now it's your turn. When was Passbook last opened? How do you use it, what do you like or dislike? Or maybe you work for (or own) a company that has already implemented similar technologies? As always, share your thoughts in the comments.

website Passbook in Russia has great prospects, not only for the user, but also for companies. Especially in light of the latest laws prohibiting SMS mailings. How does this system work in general and how does Apple restrict Russian companies trying to introduce electronic loyalty programs? All this and more in our editorial. Passbook is awesome. That's just...
