Setelem bank loan early repayment calculator. Cetelem – car loan for individuals Early repayment of a loan at Cetelem Bank

Borrowing money at interest from a financial institution or bank is a proven way to purchase a new or used car. Almost any able-bodied citizen with a stable income can choose a suitable car loan program or apply for a consumer loan. In most cases, the loan places a heavy burden on the family budget for a long period, but some lucky ones who suddenly become rich manage to shorten this period. Using the example of early repayment of a car loan from Cetelem Bank, we will consider how to competently and technically carry out such an event.

General practice of early loan repayment

For any credit institution, early repayment of a loan is unprofitable for economic reasons. The loan repayment period is interrupted, and accordingly, the bank is left without the planned profit on the transaction. Therefore, until recently, early payment of any types of loans was not allowed by banks in principle or was subject to penalties.

The situation was radically changed only in 2011, when significant amendments were made to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. Only after this did the ordinary domestic borrower receive the legal right to repay the loan before the end of the contract period.

Despite all the changes that have taken place since then, some banks are still very reluctant to explain to their clients how to act correctly in such cases. However, the sequence of actions in all Russian banks is approximately the same.

Algorithm of correct steps:

  • Visiting a bank branch to clarify the remaining loan amount;
  • The borrower submits an application for early payment of the loan;
  • Determination of the final settlement date jointly with the bank;
  • Deposit a specific settlement amount on the eve of a certain date;
  • Take a document confirming the completion of the transaction and the absence of claims from the creditor;
  • Pick up the vehicle passport stored in the bank;
  • Do not rush to throw away documents on a paid car loan.

It should be remembered that each bank has its own characteristics of early loan repayment, which can be full or partial, depending on the client’s financial capabilities. This point is one of the key ones, so close attention should be paid to its comprehensive study.

Features of early repayment in Cetelem Bank

At Cetelem Bank, early repayment of a car loan is quite possible. Moreover, of any kind, both partial and complete. Most often, the bank requires you to fill out an application for full payment of the car loan within seven days. Partial repayment of the loan must be notified at least one day in advance by filling out the appropriate application. Moreover, the payment amount in this case must be paid in advance, before the document is issued at the bank branch.

Full early repayment of the loan can be made remotely, without a personal visit to a branch or office. To do this, on the bank’s website cetelem.ru you need to use the option called “My Bank”. By clicking on the “early repayment amount” window, you can find out the amount of debt on the loan on a specific date. Then the client’s submitted application is processed by bank employees. The next day, if he is a worker, an SMS message is received with permission to carry out the operation and the payer can only immediately top up the account with the required amount of money.

Also, in Cetelem Bank, you can use the “Telephone Bank” option to repay a car loan early. Within 24 hours after filling out the form, the client will receive a message indicating the amount of the final payment. The funds will be written off in full exactly according to the loan payment schedule.

It should be understood that after partial repayment of the car loan, the payment schedule will necessarily be revised. Moreover, the client will be able to choose what is more convenient for him, a shortened loan period or a reduction in the amount of payments. Upon completion of the remote transaction, it is strongly recommended to visit the bank and obtain the appropriate certificate.

Operation in other banks

Similarly, full payment of the loan is carried out in other banking institutions in Russia. Some differences include determining the specific date for repayment of the loan. For example, partial or full early repayment of a car loan at VTB 24 can be made on any day suitable for the client. The exception is the period from January 1 to January 3, as well as the day specified in the contract for transferring the next monthly loan payment.

Early repayment of a car loan at Sberbank also provides for the preliminary deposit of an agreed amount of money into the payer’s account, from which the payments specified in the contract are debited every month. Then the borrower fills out an application and, together with the bank, determines the working day for the final payment of the loan. On a certain day, the money is written off and the loan agreement is closed.

The issue is resolved in approximately the same way at Rusfinance Bank when repaying a car loan early. According to the standard agreement, the client is obliged to notify the bank about such a transaction no later than thirty calendar days in advance. Funds are debited from this bank on the last weekday day of the current month.

In case of partial payment of the loan, all the banks listed above require a mandatory review of the payment schedule and offer the client a choice - to reduce the amount of transfers or shorten the repayment period of the debt.

It must be emphasized that incorrect actions can lead to the fact that the transferred funds will simply be debited from the account every month in the usual amount. As a result, a significant debt is formed, and the borrower’s credit history may be damaged. The end of credit cooperation is usually communication with collectors.

Therefore, it is very important to carefully study the car loan agreement before signing it, re-read it before early repayment of the car loan and scrupulously fulfill all its conditions.

Sberbank shocked citizens who want to purchase a car through a bank loan with the news that it decided in 2015 to withdraw car loans from its line, completely refusing to issue loans to vehicle buyers. But in most car dealerships you can quickly get a loan for the purchase of a new or used car, both domestic and foreign, from Cetelem Bank, and on very favorable terms.

Briefly about the bank

Cetelem Bank is a joint subsidiary of such well-known financial institutions as Sberbank and BNP Paribas. It should be noted that BNP Paribas Personal Finance operates under the Cetelem brand, which has taken first place in the provision of bank loans to individuals, including in the car lending segment, in the French and European markets. The Cetelem brand is an abbreviation for CrEdiT'a l'ELEctro-Menager, which translates from French as: “credit for the purchase of household electrical appliances.”

The fact is that Cetelem was the first company that began issuing consumer loans in 1953, and also the first in 1997 to begin providing online lending. Having enormous experience and an excellent reputation, the company provides representation of its enterprises in 30 countries, on four of the seven continents. Cetelem has been operating in Russia since 2007, and became a structural division of Sberbank in 2012.

Today, Cetelem Bank is represented by branches in 77 regions of the country, and stands out among other financial institutions with a huge variety of car loan programs that are developed directly with companies that manufacture and sell vehicles. And the bank’s partner organizations include over 2,600 car dealers. Therefore it is not surprising that Today Cetelem Bank has become the largest player in the Russian lending market.

Advantages of a car loan from Cetelem

It is important to know that Cetelem Bank provides loans for the purchase used cars and only foreign ones. And new vehicles with the help of loans can be purchased from both foreign and domestic cars. The advantages of applying for a car loan directly from Cetelem Bank include:

  • Apply for a loan in the shortest possible time – from 15 minutes to 24 hours.
  • To obtain a car loan, there is no need to visit a bank branch - cooperation is ensured with the largest number of car dealerships and other dealer organizations where you can apply for a loan.
  • A minimum package of documents is requested - only a passport and a driving license.
  • No guarantors or additional collateral other than the purchased car are required.
  • The lowest rates on interest charges, which are the bank's income.
  • A huge number of credit programs that were developed jointly with dealers and car manufacturers.
  • It is possible to repay the loan in full or in part ahead of schedule - it is important to know that the law prohibits banks from limiting clients’ ability to repay the loan before its expiration date. But many consumers are afraid of fines, so the bank agreement provides for the possibility of early repayment.
  • A huge number of loan repayment options, including without visiting a bank branch.

Advice: Before you start applying for a loan, you should visit the Cetelem Bank website, where you can not only choose a more interesting program, but also calculate the interest rate and the monthly payment that will need to be made. To do this, you should use a special calculator, where the amounts will be based on the initial cost of the car.

Disadvantages of a car loan from Cetelem

In the world, including in Russia, it is impossible to find an ideal financial organization for obtaining a consumer loan. In this matter, Cetelem Bank was no exception, and therefore some of its clients note that sometimes in regional branches one can encounter such negative phenomena as:

  • In regional offices there are queues among clients, regardless of what issue they brought to the bank. For this reason, many recommend repaying the loan through terminals or online transfer through Sberbank.
  • In regional branches, the level of competence of employees serving clients does not quite meet the desired criteria, which is why the information may not be provided in full. Therefore, before applying for a loan, you should carefully study all possible programs and conditions on the bank’s website or other resources. You can also contact the operator in Moscow using the toll-free hotline.
  • Early repayment of the loan is permitted by law and provided for in the contract, but you must order this option by phone and wait for SMS for confirmation.
  • Employees of a financial institution can make a call at the client’s expense to remind them that funds will be debited soon.
  • Payment must be made 2-4 days before the monthly payment deadline established in the contract, since funds are credited during this period. True, the bank may provide a deferment to avoid penalties for late payment.
  • If there is a delay in crediting money to the account, huge fines are applied, and operators also start calling asking for debt repayment several times a day.
  • Despite the large number of regional branches, not all cities have representative offices of the bank.
  • In some stores, the loan agreement is concluded with gross violations and old details may be indicated.

It is worth noting that based on the complaints of customers who applied for a car loan through Cetelem Bank, we can come to the conclusion that a loan is a rather serious process that does not accept negligence. Therefore, every borrower must remember that no one will protect their interests better than themselves and you need to carefully study all the nuances of the loan issued, as well as the possibilities of its repayment.

Early repayment of a car loan at Cetelem Bank

Full or partial early repayment of an issued car loan at Cetelem Bank is possible only after coordinating your actions with the organization.

For this:

  • 30 days before the expected date, an application for early repayment procedure is sent to the bank. You can submit an application through your personal account on the website, by calling the customer service or in person at a bank branch;
  • deposit into the loan agreement account the amount required for early repayment.

It should be noted that the indicated amount consists of the balance of the principal debt, accrued interest for the past period of use.

When the specified date arrives, funds will be debited from the client’s account automatically, and the credited person will be notified about this additionally.

In case of partial early repayment, an additional agreement will be drawn up to the main loan agreement, in which the monthly payment amounts will be changed due to overpayment of interest.

Overdue

In the event of a delay in the next payment, penalties are charged to the person being credited, the amount of which is established by the loan agreement. Penalties are assessed until the existing debt is paid off.

If within 30 calendar days the client who has committed a delay does not deposit funds into his personal account necessary to pay the debt, then the bank has the right:

  • demand from the client payment of the entire remaining debt, which the organization is obliged to report in writing;
  • transfer the debt to third parties, including various collection agencies;
  • apply to the court with a request to seize the pledged car for the purpose of its subsequent sale and repayment of the debt.

Is it possible to get a car loan without CASCO?

Good evening, dear visitors. Having become a borrower of a loan from the Setel Paribas bank, I will probably eventually be forced to go through all the ordeals that people write about who have left reviews about the activities of this bank. I will note that I begin my “negative” interaction with the bank quite early and I still have more than two years ahead of me before repaying the loan, so I hope to minimize the damage from this institution. I will try to talk about my interactions and, if possible, report on any effective steps and actions. I hope that my messages will help you, just as other people's reviews helped me (at least I understood what I got myself into).

Let's start in order. In April 2011, we quite quickly purchased a car of the appropriate brand from the FMK FORD Yaroslavl showroom on credit under a program financed by the Setel bank. The transaction did not cause any special suspicions or concerns in me, because... I really trust the FMK Ford company, I previously purchased a car from this dealership on credit, and there were no problems with servicing the loan, or with the amount of information, or with its repayment, or with obtaining a title. However, it is worth noting that last time it was VTB-24 bank - for which I am very grateful to them.

The first bell was my husband’s remark that the Setelem branch, which is located in Yaroslavl at 4 Krasnyi Sezd, has practically no “identification marks” and is quite difficult to find. It’s really worth thanking the employees of this branch, who explained in detail over the phone where to go.

However, now to the point. In December of this year, we became convinced that we wanted to make a partial early repayment of the loan. Well, the flag is in our hands. We contacted a loan specialist at FMK Ford, who explained to us about the mechanism for submitting an application (seven working days before the date of the next payment, subject to the availability of the necessary funds in the bank account). In response to my request to see a preliminary payment schedule, i.e. what my payments will be after depositing a specific amount into the bank, they told me very clearly that they can provide such information only after “considering” the application - naturally in Moscow. BUT, this application for early repayment, signed by me, is an official document. It no longer has retroactive effect! I will receive a new official payment schedule. And if he doesn’t suit me in some way, that’s my problem. I asked myself.

I didn’t stop there, I decided to have some fun with “telephone law” - I called one by one with a specialist from FMK Ford, operators in the office, and the head of additional services. office, unsuccessfully tormented the 8-800 number... and insistently demanded to provide me with a “draft payment schedule.” The girls patiently and politely (as they taught) led me around in a circle, and the final offer was the advice to go to one of the M-Video stores and ask the girl credit manager Setelem to calculate a payment schedule for me on the spot (?!). Original? By the way, this is also despite the fact that I am in Rybinsk, and all transactions must be carried out in Yaroslavl.

As a result, I wrote an official request (signed scan) addressed to the bank’s management, where I outlined my question in detail: provide a draft payment schedule if I pay the amount N with the loan term unchanged. I sent this request to additional. office in Yaroslavl, and they, in turn, sent it to the Moscow branch of the bank. This was done on December 30, 2011 with the expectation that I would receive an answer at the beginning of January.

Uniform payment of loan amounts is convenient when the borrower does not have the opportunity to pay everything at once. The monthly payment includes not only the loan repayment amount, but also additional commissions and fees. For most users of the credit system, the urgent question is the possibility of early repayment, if funds become available. Let's look at the example of what constitutes early repayment of a loan from Cetelem Bank, a subsidiary of Sberbank.

Benefits of early repayment of borrowed funds

The loan size includes several components. This:

  • money actually borrowed from a financial institution;
  • interest charged for using bank funds;
  • commissions, fines, insurance, payment for services, etc. Different credit products have their own conditions.

Only the first point cannot be changed - as much as was taken, the same amount must be returned. The refund amount can be reduced by interest. The debt payments calculated for each year can be significantly reduced if the term is reduced to a minimum. The amount of the overpayment is directly related to the loan term. This can be easily checked using the loan calculator located on the financial institution’s website.

How to repay a loan early at Cetelem Bank

The conditions for repaying borrowed funds in advance depend on whether you want to pay the creditor in full or intend to pay only part of the amount. There are two options for such calculations:

  • complete closure of the loan;
  • partial repayment.

Your further actions depend on how you intend to act.

If you plan to return the entire amount

To completely pay off your debt at Cetelem Bank, you first need to find out how much debt you have. You can obtain this information in two ways:

  1. In the “My Bank” tab on the official platform of the financial institution. Authorization is performed by entering a phone number, passport, plastic card or contract. After logging in you need to click on the icon "Amount of early repayment."
  2. By contacting the operator on duty by phone 880 050 055 03.

According to the rules of Cetelem Bank, the balance does not include the last payment, therefore, when calculating, you need to pay, in addition to the balance that you received as a result of the actions described above, and what you must pay according to the schedule of the current month. It is recommended to make payments about a week before the upcoming final payment. After the amount is deposited into the bank account, you should order early repayment. To do this, you can call the phone number listed above, or click on the corresponding button in your Personal Account.

Important! If repayment is made through your personal account, the function button is pressed once. Clicking again will cancel your application.

After submitting the application, you should receive a message on your phone stating that such and such an amount has been debited on such and such a date. If you do not receive an SMS within 24 hours, you need to call the financial institution’s hotline. You can check the debited amount the next day in your personal account.

Early partial repayment of a loan from Cetelem Bank

You can repay part of the loan using approximately the same scheme. The amount exceeding the monthly payment, according to the contract, must be paid several days before the due date, and then you must declare your intention to write off part of the debt. This is done by phone (listed above), in your personal account or in the Phone Banking application.

In online banking, you can choose what you want to change: payment terms or the amount of the monthly payment. The next day after the settlement date, changes can be viewed on the bank’s website.

So, you have received the answer to the question of whether it is possible to repay a loan early from Cetelem Bank. And this is done very simply.
