We ordered a bath from a bar in the "Canadian hut". Estimated construction time under the contract May 14-28, 2016. We naively assumed that by the beginning of summer it would be steaming in a new bathhouse ...
On May 14, they brought us and installed the foundation ( screw piles) worked quickly and efficiently, there are no complaints about the foundation.
The construction team arrived only on May 18, and it began ...
It is written in the contract, and even in the office they assure that the brigade must be provided with a bed, access to water and electricity. In fact, it turned out that the workers arrived with one kettle, so they need a stove, pots and pans. It was very annoying that besides you, strangers use your kitchen and dishes.
And now the main problem is the construction time!!! By the estimated date of completion of construction (May 28), only three lower crowns were built! Yes, the weather was bad, it was raining, which delayed the construction, but watching the construction process in normal weather, I assure you that even with perfect weather, our two builders would certainly not have completed 14 days.
Further more fun: on June 3, both of our workers left on their own business, promising to return on June 7. We immediately called the company with a question about providing us with another team, since the deadlines had already been tightened, and no one was building. The company told us to wait for our team. As a result, on June 7, it turned out that the workers would arrive only on June 9, we are again indignant and waiting ... But on June 9, we are informed that one of the workers refuses to continue working at our facility. And then it turned out that on June 3 (when they left) it was already clear that he would not return, and these days our second worker tried in vain to find a partner.
So, on June 9, we find out that we have a team of one person and we are offered a choice: either wait another 3-5 days and change the team, or for 2.5% of the contract amount to be with the remaining worker for “bring it down”. Since we were tired of waiting, to put it mildly, we agreed to help.
From June 11 to June 20, we helped our builder as much as we could. Working with him, we realized that he had never worked with wood before!!! On June 20, we went to the company with a demand to send people who know how to build a bathhouse to us, we were really scared how our unfortunate builder would equip us with a sauna.
On June 21, a new team headed by Vyacheslav came to us, and we understood what professional builders are!!! There is no doubt that this team would have calmly kept within 14 days from the very beginning, they really had EVERYTHING with them, and they know how to work quickly and efficiently.
I don’t know why the manager at the Canadian Hut didn’t like us so much, and for what he initially gave us two people who had never built bathhouses before. In three days, Vyacheslav's team completed everything for us, fixed everything they could from what had been built earlier, and on June 25 our construction was finally completed!
Outcome:
1. The bath turned out to be good, BUT the construction time was 42 days instead of 14 days!
2. Disgusting attitude towards the client! 80% of the contract amount must be paid when the material is brought in, and it seems that you will no longer be interested in this office.
3. If the company has masters with “golden” hands, like Vyacheslav, why hire it is not clear who and put experiments on clients?
