The Pension Fund of the Russian Federation (short version of the name - PRF) is the largest organization in Russia engaged in providing socially significant public services to citizens of the Russian Federation.

This fund was formed in 1990 in accordance with Resolution of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR No. 442-1 “On the organization of the Pension Fund of the RSFSR.”

The main goal of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation is state management of the pension system and ensuring the rights of citizens of the Russian Federation to pension provision.

Like other organizations in the country, the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation has its own official website, which provides complete information about the fund.

It should be noted that in addition to the Russian version, the Pension Fund official website also has an English version. There is also a version for visually impaired users. You can see the corresponding links at the top of the web resource.

Before you begin to familiarize yourself with the site materials, you should select the appropriate region. This will allow you to get acquainted with the most relevant information specifically for your region.

The official website of the PRF contains a main menu that includes four tabs: “About the Pension Fund”, “Press Center”, “Electronic Services”, “Contacts and Addresses”.

Thus, the first tab will allow you to get acquainted with general information about the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, its socially significant functions, management, and history. It also reflects information regarding international cooperation, co-financing by the Pension Fund of social programs of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as available vacancies.

The second tab of the main menu of the official website of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation is dedicated to press center materials. Particular attention should be paid to the “Electronic Services” tab. The first includes services such as making an appointment, ordering certificates and documents, searching for customer service, referring a request, asking an online question, a pension calculator and generating a payment document.

Services that require registration on the site include services related to pensions, social benefits, maternity (family) capital, formation of pension rights, management of pension savings, as well as those addressed to citizens living abroad. All this will become possible after registering and gaining access to the citizen’s personal account.

Information regarding the policyholder’s account (payer’s account) is also presented here, to familiarize yourself with which you just need to select the appropriate tab. This account is intended for all categories of payers of insurance premiums for compulsory pension and health insurance, which are organizations, individual entrepreneurs and individuals who make payments and other remuneration to individuals, as well as individual entrepreneurs, lawyers, notaries engaged in private practice and not making payments and other remuneration to individuals, that is, those who are self-employed payers.

The last tab of the main menu available on the official website of the Pension Fund is dedicated to contact information. Here you can get acquainted with the contacts of the Executive Directorate of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, the Department for handling appeals of citizens, insured persons, organizations and policyholders, the Department for Pension Provision of Persons Living Abroad, the Department of State Pension Provision for Civil Servants and the press service. Here you can also visit the online reception office of the Pension Fund of Russia, where you can send a request electronically to the Pension Fund of Russia on any issue within its competence.

  • The pension fund is a very popular organization. Many people turn to its employees every day for a variety of information. But not everyone will be able to go to the district PF office with every question that arises. And almost every Muscovite and resident of the region can call the Moscow Pension Fund Hotline.

    The Ministry does everything for convenience when communicating with its employees. You can contact them during a personal visit, through a written request, or through the website www.PFRF.ru. Recently, telephone contact with a special consultant, whom residents of Moscow and the Moscow region know well, has become increasingly popular.

    Who applies to PF and why? These are not only people who have already become pensioners, but also younger residents of the capital who are concerned about their future pension. These are young mothers who have given birth to a second child, and widows who are applying for survivor benefits for their children, as well as beneficiaries of various categories. They all come with their problems to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation.

    Only accurate information received from competent persons can resolve all questions, reassure or suggest what actions a person should take in order to receive what they are entitled to in a timely manner and in full.

    You can call the Hotline at any convenient time: operators work every day, 24 hours a day.

    There is no need to pay for the connection: conversations with PF Hotline operators are free for residents of Moscow and the Moscow region.

If you need such information (personal account number, amount of payments or indexations, etc.), do not waste time calling! You can only find out all your personal information directly at the Pension Fund branch.

    Relevance of the Hotline

    In Moscow or on the official website you can get up-to-date information, advice or a detailed answer regarding the following topics of the organization’s activities:

    • How is pension indexation carried out this year?

    • How to get SNILS (information about your individual personal account insurance number), which is popularly called simply “green card”.
    • How to transfer your savings to a non-state Pension Fund and what to do if your own funds are transferred to a non-state Pension Fund without personal consent.

    In addition to answering questions, you can discuss with the Hotline operator how the employees of the district office work, and even complain if it seems to you that they are acting unqualifiedly or, on the contrary, are inactive.

    Pensions are granted to people under certain circumstances: reaching age, length of service, death of a breadwinner, or receiving a disability group. Payments are made every month in a fixed monetary equivalent. The transfer of funds is carried out by employees of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation. This government agency is endowed with certain specifics of work, thanks to which individuals receive information on issues regarding their savings.

    Pension Fund of the Russian Federation

    The Pension Fund of the Russian Federation is a state institution operating in the field of finance and credit. The structure was founded in 1990. The essence of the department’s work is to formulate payments of benefits and subsidies to persons who have such rights.

    The activities of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation concern not only people over 50 years of age, but also young able-bodied citizens. This is due to the fact that the working population deducts a monthly percentage from wages and other income, which is returned when a certain situation arises.

    It is noteworthy that the Pension Fund is divided into two structures:

    • state with accountability to the supreme power and federal funding;
    • non-state, with many private institutions.

    The functions of the department include:

    • formation and transfer of benefits;
    • exercising control over citizens' insurance pensions;
    • payment of social subsidies;
    • maintaining records of insured persons;
    • activities related to maternity capital;
    • calculation of additional payments to social benefits, including payment.
