Home Credit Bank Credit Card. Bank credit card Home Credit Home loan personal credit card

Home Credit Bank, which ate the (hamster) dog in lending to individuals, introduced its own installment card in August 2017 (in November 2018 it was called “Freedom”). Until this moment, two similar cards competed for the palm: the one that appeared first, and the one that came out after it. You can read their detailed reviews using the links provided.

Even at the stage of preparation for the launch of its product, a representative of HKB said that with the new card the partner network will be wider than that of competitors, and the installment plan will be longer. These two key parameters are of utmost importance when choosing an installment card, which will allow you to sway the client’s choice in favor of the culprit of our review, and make room for other players in the market of goods sold in installments. Let's consider what surprises HKB has prepared for us; will its product be a “new word” in installments, or will it follow an already beaten path, looking back at the experience of competitors? We will also analyze reviews from clients who have purchased it.

Advantages and disadvantages

Let us note that HKB did not play tricks with the name, but called its product simply: “installment card” of Home Credit Bank, and in November 2018 the card finally got its name: now it is the Freedom card. Let's go through its main advantages:

1. The Freedom card is completely free without any strings attached. There are no additional services like insurance, but SMS notification is free(from April 26 – 99 rubles per month, but you can refuse this service). That is, you receive a card, and it can gather dust on a shelf, waiting in the wings.

2. Interest-free installment plan for any purchases IN ANY STORE FOR 3 MONTHS(from April 26 on newly issued cards - 2 months) and in retail outlets of the partner network up to 12 months (an impressive list of partners - up to 40 thousand points).

3. Card of the international payment system Visa, which means you can pay for it in installments in ANY STORE IN THE WORLD.

4. Revolving credit limit (from 10 thousand to 300 thousand rubles). The redeemed amount immediately becomes available for purchases.

5. Flexible repayment system. You can pay in installments every month in equal payments, then your overpayment for the purchase will be 0 rubles, or you can pay with minimum payments (7%, min. 1000 rubles), then you take out a loan from the bank at 29.9% per annum. In the latter case, you do not pay a penalty and do not spoil your credit history, since you are not violating the bank’s terms of payment, you are simply violating the terms of the installment plan.

6. A passport is enough for registration.

7. Full or partial early repayment is possible at any time without any sanctions.

There are also disadvantages:

1. It’s difficult to get a card. The bank does not issue cards to holders of its own credit cards, asking them to close them. And if it issues, then, as a rule, with a minimum lending limit. The reason may not be a bad credit history, but an existing debt load (by the way, any credit card, even if not used, automatically increases your debt load by the amount of the credit limit, so it is not recommended to “collect” credit cards for yourself unless absolutely necessary).

2. You cannot withdraw cash from cash desks and ATMs using an installment card. It is intended for cashless payment at retail outlets.

3. The bank provides little information to understand the operation of the card. The web page with the product description is not very informative (perhaps the situation will improve in the future). To understand the mechanism of how the card functions, you need to study the tariffs, general terms of the contract, etc., study the forums and ask questions to the support service (phone, website, social networks). But, in fact, this is what reviews exist for: to satisfy the applicant’s hunger for information and to obtain expanded information. Let’s say right away that the support is fast and adequate, and during the process of working on the review, the author always received answers to his questions.

How does the Svoboda Home Credit Bank installment credit card work?

The operating principle of the installment plan is described in the Installment Program of HCF Bank LLC (hereinafter referred to as the Program). If you have experience using credit cards, then it will be easy for you to understand the mechanism of operation of an installment card (this is, in fact, an ordinary credit card with a long grace period).

As soon as the card holder makes the first purchase, the installment period immediately begins, which will last for 3 or more (when purchasing from partners) grace periods (hereinafter referred to as LP). Installment plans are given independently for each purchase (within the framework of a specific RP)!

Upon completion of the first RP, the bank within 3 (three) calendar days notifies the client of the amount of the installment payment. The payment is calculated as the quotient of the total purchase amount divided by the number of months of the installment period. So, if the product cost 30 thousand rubles, then every month you will have to pay 10 thousand rubles. If there are several purchases and they are made in different billing periods, then the bank calculates the payment for each purchase, and then sums up all payments that must be paid at the end of each checkout.

Helpful tip: make your purchase at the very beginning of the RP. Purchasing on the first day of the RP will give you a deferment until the first payment is made - up to 51 days (full grace period), but if you buy a product/service on the last day of the RP, then you will have to make the calculated payment within 20 days of the RP.

In reality, at the end of each RP, the bank will send you an SMS message with TWO payments. The first payment is the amount required to pay for the proposed installment plan, that is, payment of this amount indicates that you accept these conditions and “enter” the installment plan.

The second payment is the minimum mandatory payment and amounts to 7% of the value of the entire debt (min. 1000 rubles) - this amount must be paid if you DO NOT accept the bank’s conditions described above. In this case, the bank charges an interest rate on the BALANCE OF DEBT according to the tariff (29.9% per annum), and at the same time you MUST pay the minimum required payment. The absence of such payment or a smaller amount will mean a delay with all the ensuing consequences (a penalty and a corresponding entry in the credit history).

Information on the amount of the minimum payment is taken from the “General Conditions for the Credit Card (General Conditions of the Agreement)”.

Interest accrual begins from the RP for which the installment payment was not made. For example, you made two equal payments, but you did not have enough funds for the third, and you make the minimum payment. This means the bank will begin to charge interest on the balance of the debt, which is a third of the purchase amount.

Note! In the process of communicating with local bank employees, you may not be completely correctly informed (or you may not understand correctly) about the amount of the monthly payment. The official description of the program is also not entirely clear about it: installment payment includes a minimum payment and a portion of the loans repaid in installments.

A phrase from the general terms of the contract brings a little clarity:

And it’s still not very clear how much to pay? Either one minimum payment of 7%, or payment in installments + minimum. Rely on the above information, which was obtained empirically, and, of course, on the bank’s notifications. By paying a larger amount, you will make a partial early repayment (which we will talk about a little later), there is nothing wrong with that, but why pay more than required?

Terms and rates

Home Credit Bank's installment credit card is designed for only one function - purchasing goods and services in installments or on credit, so it does not provide any additional services. More detailed information about the tariffs can be found on the bank’s website (tariffs of HKF Bank LLC for banking services to individual clients, sheets 9, 10). There is no insurance (i.e., you can’t connect it no matter how hard you want), no cashback, and there is no provision for connecting to the Benefit bonus program (it is considered one of the best loyalty programs on the market, and bank credit cards are called that way: a card with Benefit). The ability to withdraw funds from ATMs and cash desks is completely blocked. Notification by email and SMS messages (SMS package) is free.

The only thing that is paid is re-issuance at the initiative of the client, for which the bank will charge 200 rubles (after the expiration date the bank will re-issue the card for free).

What else might you have to pay for? As previously mentioned, if the client does not want to accept the terms of the Program, he will have to pay interest on the loan in the amount of 29.9% per annum. The bank also stipulates a number of transactions for which installment plans are not provided. Actually, these are operations not related to payment for goods/services: transfers, replenishment of electronic wallets, purchases of traveler's checks and lottery tickets, bonds, precious metals. metals, operations in casinos and other gambling establishments.

Payment for such a dubious transaction will not terminate the installment program - the debt on such transactions will be repaid first.

Here we will additionally say about a penalty of 0.055% per day (no more than 20% per annum) of the amount of overdue debt in case of failure to comply with the requirements for late minimum payment.

The maximum duration of the installment period is 12 months – in the stores of the bank’s partners. They are only promising to make their list public (which we will definitely talk about in the review), but judging by the number of existing partners (the bank already sells goods on its website in installments), there will be at least 40 thousand of them.

How to top up? Early repayment and useful tips

The “information for clients on the conditions for issuing, using and repaying a consumer loan on a card” lists 9 ways to repay the loan, 4 of which are free. We will not dwell on all of them; those wishing to get acquainted with this topic are referred to the review. And here we will talk about free replenishment methods.

Naturally, these are bank cash desks and terminals (KhKB has a branched structure of branches in Russian cities). The first two times (as part of the ongoing promotion), you can top up your account for free from cards of other banks on the KKB website or in the “My Credit” online service. There is an exotic way to top up with cards from another bank through the telephone menu (keep in mind that calls outside Moscow will be charged). They will do this for free, but you will have to enter the card details in the background, following the prompts of the employee. How safe it is to display card details is another question. Using the above methods, the money will arrive in your bank account on the next business day.

There are other methods of free replenishment, for example, the loan payment service from MasterCard (https://loanrepayment.mastercard.ru/#/), where you can make a transfer to your card details (by account number, not card) up to 15 thousand . rubles (for 1 time) without commission from any MasterCard debit card (but only within the framework of the ongoing promotion).

More details

While you pay for your purchases for several months, you can keep the money in Cosmos at 7.5% per annum, and when the payment time comes, just make a free transfer from one card to another in the Internet bank and the account will be replenished (judging by the reviews, you will see the money on account immediately and the available balance will change the next morning).

A few words about early repayment.

You can repay the entire amount early. Full early repayment will take place automatically when the entire purchase amount is credited to the account. In case of partial early repayment, do not forget about the obligation to pay the minimum payment, so it would be better to pay off the card early during the payment period.

Late or incomplete payment (including the minimum payment) automatically terminates the installment program. In order for it to start working again, it is necessary to pay off the entire debt to zero.

Requirements for the holder. How to get an installment card?

Check whether you meet the bank's requirements for the applicant for the card considered in the review: this must be a citizen of the Russian Federation with permanent registration and actual residence in the region where the card is issued with a permanent source of income (work experience at the current place of work for at least 3 months). Age range ranges from 18 to 64 years.

One passport is enough documents.

Unlike its competitors, this card does not have delivery. You will have to visit a bank branch, where you will be offered to receive a non-personal card (judging by reviews, it does not support contactless payment technology). You can refuse and wait 1-2 weeks for a personalized one with support for this technology.

Don’t be upset about the initial credit limit (many people are given no more than 10 thousand). To increase it, it is enough to constantly make transactions on the card (bought-paid, etc.) and make payments on time. Turnover is not a problem - buy food and essential goods using this plastic.

Installment card Freedom Home Credit. Customer Reviews

Home Credit Bank, having made installment plans for up to 3 months available on its card in any store, immediately deprived itself of a whole layer of problems and technical nuances that Halva and Sovest cardholders encountered when paying in partner stores (at least this was the case for them at first). Everything will work in all stores where cards are accepted, just like with a regular credit card - everything is fine in customer reviews.

True, KhKB is not going to distribute it left and right. As a rule, the applicant is rejected due to high... So if you already have credit cards behind you that were opened just in case, then it makes sense to close them. It is somewhat strange that in order to receive this card, the bank recommends that its clients give up their current credit card.

It makes sense to close credit cards if the conditions on them are worse than on the HKB installment card. But we must keep in mind that there is a possibility of refusal. In addition, most reviews report a minimum credit limit (as a rule, this is the lower limit of 10 thousand rubles), which is not enough for any serious purchase (although it is quite enough for an average phone, maybe some people have too much appetite, and give them iPhone only).

In any case, this problem can be corrected, since it is possible to raise the lending limit - see this in the previous section of the review.

On the forums, many questions arise about the size of the monthly payment - the bank could pay more attention to this on the official page of the card. The problem is that even the documents (at least 3 documents need to be analyzed) do not clearly indicate how to pay. Now, after consultations with representatives of the bank, everything fell into place, as we reported above - the main thing is not to miss the next notification, where you will be calculated the required amount, and pay it on time using one of the free methods.

Editorial opinion “Finance for People”

An installment card from Home Credit Bank is much more interesting than the average credit card, if only because it is completely free, and in general has an interest-free period of up to 110 days (3 months of installments + 20 days of the last payment period to pay off the final payment), and when it comes to about partner stores, then we can talk about a free loan for up to 12 months (although this is rather an exception to the rule - look at the partners of Halva and Conscience, how many offers will you find there with such a long installment plan?).

Only the relatively new card that has surpassed it (120 days of a fair grace period!) can measure its strength against it. You can find other credit cards with a long grace period at. These are worthy specimens, but you will have to pay for their annual maintenance and carefully study the mechanism of their operation so as not to incur a penalty.

Let us note that there are many who like to use other banking benefits - cashback and bonus programs, which are not available with our card. The same “Benefit” program allows you to return up to 5 thousand rubles per month from the amount of purchases made using a HKB Bank credit card (in fact, even more if you take into account additional promotional offers from partners).

As for the closest competitors (Halva and Conscience), the author of the review has the most important trump card - installments of 3 (2 - from April 26) months EVERYWHERE (isn’t this the very new word?), without problems with partnership. Although competitors are not sleeping and are actively developing their partner base, so that soon most stores may be included in it. Most, but not all, so this trump card will play into the hands of Home Credit Bank if everything goes well with its new product, which we hope for. The consumer is always in the black when banks compete with each other and develop their products, this is what we have come to - just take it and use it, and you don’t have to pay anything for it, isn’t this a fairy tale?

At the end of 2018, Home Credit Bank presented its new installment card “Freedom”. It is very similar to another card product - the simple Home Credit installment card, which is no longer issued to customers. The main and only installment card of HKF Bank now is the “Freedom” card. The conditions, tariffs and differences of the card will be discussed in this review.

In this review, we will consider several issues regarding this card:

  • Conditions and tariffs of the “Freedom” installment card from Home Credit.
  • Product Features.
  • How to apply for and receive a card.
  • Comparison of the “Freedom” card with the “Halva” and “Conscience” cards.
  • Reviews and client's opinion about whether it is worth applying for it?

The card was announced at the end of 2018, when the head of the bank made a presentation of the bank’s new product - . The name of the card is as unusual as the “Conscience” card of Qiwi Bank.

At its core, the new card is an improved and updated Home Credit installment card, which was issued throughout the year. Now that they have started issuing the Freedom card. The old installment card can no longer be issued, but those who have already issued it before can still continue to use it.

In general, Home Credit became the third bank in Russia to introduce an installment card to the market.

Before this, the installment card was already launched:

  1. Sovcombank. A universal card, as it can be used both for installments and for storing your own funds at a favorable interest rate. Read separate review of the Halva card .
  2. Qiwi Bank interest-free installment card "Conscience". The very first interest-free installment card in Russia. All the features of this card can be found in special review of the card.
  3. Alfa Bank— new for 2018. The card is very similar to the Home Credit installment card. Detailed review and reviews of the product.

Also, the service “Instalments up to 12 months with partners” is available on credit cards and Russian standard.

How to use the card and is there a catch?

So, the essence of the new unique card from Home Credit Bank is that it allows you to buy goods in any offline and online stores in installments for 3 months, as well as in partner stores for up to 12 months. That is, this product has similarities with a regular credit card, with which you can make purchases in any store, and something in common with installment cards, for which installment plans are available for a longer period.

Let's look at an example of how to use an installment card from Home Credit. Let’s say in December 2018 you bought building materials worth 50,000 rubles using your card at a hardware store. This amount is divided into 3 parts, which you need to return to the bank. In January, February and March you need to deposit 16,666 rubles back onto the card.

If you made a purchase at a partner store, the installment period will be longer. Accordingly, you need to pay much less monthly.

Thus, having paid for your purchase within the installment period, you do not pay interest to the bank - the purchase is completed without overpayment. After reading all this, many people ask the question: “Is there a catch to this card?”

I believe there is no trick in the card and there cannot be. The fact is that the bank does not earn commissions from its clients, who pay by card and from partners where the purchase is made. Everyone wins: the client does not pay interest, the bank receives a reward from the partner, and the partner increases its revenue and turnover. To put it figuratively, the bank gives money to clients and sends them to partner stores so that they spend this money with the partners. A kind of advertising for certain stores. For this, the bank receives a commission from the store. And he, in turn, pays the bank, as if for advertising, for “bringing” a client to him.

There are also certain disadvantages and disadvantages of the card that are inherent in all installment cards. For example, an increased grace period (installment plan) is valid only in the bank’s partner network, and there is also no opportunity to withdraw cash from the credit limit. Installment cards are focused only on making purchases. This cannot be called a trick of the card, since this is a feature of all similar cards.

Tariffs and terms of service for the Home Credit installment card

Let's take a closer look at the tariffs and conditions of the Freedom bank card to understand whether there are various pitfalls and “surprises” there.

  • Card issue and annual maintenance- for free.
  • Re-issuance of a card at the client’s initiative– 590 rubles. If the card has expired, it’s free.
  • Total credit limit– from 10 to 300 thousand rubles. To pay with a card OUTSIDE the partner network, you can use only part of the total credit limit, which is set individually.
  • Grace period for purchases not from partners— 51 days (when issuing a card and making purchases before December 31, 2018, a 3-month grace period applies).
  • Interest rate during the installment period– 0 percent per annum.
  • Minimum monthly payment— 7% of the debt for purchases OUTSIDE the affiliate network + part of the debt in installments (for example, 1/12 of the debt if taken in installments for 12 months). Also, the minimum payment usually includes fines and commissions on the card, if any are charged to you.
  • In case of violation of the terms of installments and non-payment of the monthly payment– from 17.9 to 34.9% per annum. The rate is set individually for each person.
  • Penalty for late minimum payment— 590 rubles.
  • Cash withdrawal from ATMs- not provided.
  • SMS information on the card– free for the first 2 months, then 99 rubles per month.
  • Monthly account statements- for free.
  • Release of a new PIN code– 0 rubles.
  • Internet and mobile banking– no commission.
  • Blocking/unblocking the card– also without charging a commission.
  • Depositing cash onto a card through an ATM, terminal, bank cash desk - absolutely free.

As you can see, almost everything you need is on the card without charging any fees, which is good news.

Features of a credit card

Now let's look at the features of the new installment card "Freedom" of Home Credit Bank.

  1. The card is accepted absolutely all over the world wherever there is a payment terminal that accepts bank cards, as well as on the Internet.
  2. The installment card is issued by MPS VISA in the CLASSIC category.
  3. By default, the card is unnamed with a chip and PayWave technology. A microchip on the card makes it more secure, and PayWave contactless payment technology makes it convenient. You can also order personalized plastic for free.
  4. The presence of PayWave technology makes the card contactless, that is, you can pay with it simply by touching it to the terminal. You can also link the Freedom card to your smartphone in the Google Pay, Samsnug Pay or Apple Pay application and pay for purchases with your smartphone (you need the NFC function on your smartphone).
  5. The card cannot be used to withdraw cash from ATMs and bank tellers. It is intended strictly for non-cash payment for goods and services.
  6. You can pay off your card debt at any time without commission or moratorium. That is, it is not necessary to wait 3 months.
  7. The card is issued without income certificates, collateral or guarantors.

Partner stores of the "Freedom" Home Credit installment card

Among the partners of the new installment card “Freedom” from Home Credit and Finance Bank there are a lot of interesting stores and companies that many bank clients use constantly. And now there is an opportunity to receive installments there.

Here are the most profitable and popular bank partner stores for purchases in installments up to 12 months:

  • Aeroflot - 4 months installment plan.
  • Chain of household appliance stores DNS and Citylink - 6 months and 4 months, respectively.
  • Snow Queen - 6 months.
  • Furniture chain Shatura - 10 months.
  • Online store Vsekupi.online - 12 months.

These are just some of the partner stores. at the end of 2018, the total number of partner stores was more than 40 thousand! A complete list of partners and installment periods can be found on the bank’s website.

Comparison of the installment card "Home Credit" with "Halva" and "Conscience"

So, as mentioned above, in Russia Home Credit became the third bank that began issuing an interest-free installment card. Thus, entering this promising market, he had the opportunity to study all the conditions and reviews about the cards of his competitors - and.

Having analyzed existing cards, the bank presented us with exactly the product that we now see. And let's try to compare and understand how the cards differ from each other.

  1. Home did not lag behind his colleagues on the issue of card naming, and just like them, he came up with a very original name for his main card product.
  2. Unlike Sovest and Halva cards, Home Credit Bank did not limit its customers when making purchases using a credit limit. Clients are not tied to the bank's network of partners. And this, perhaps, is its most important competitive advantage among similar cards from other well-known banking institutions.
  3. With a card from Home Credit, the minimum installment period is 2 months. Let me remind you that there are a large number of stores with analog cards that offer installment plans for purchases of only 1 month.
  4. Unlike Halva's MasterCard, the HKF Bank card is issued by the international VISA system. For some, this sometimes matters.
  5. The Freedom card has a credit limit for purchases outside the affiliate network. That is, the entire approved limit cannot be spent in a store that is not a partner. Only a certain part. This will be indicated in the card agreement.

How to apply for and receive a Home Credit installment card

Let's move on to the most interesting part - “How to order and receive this card?” This is very easy to do.

You can order a card in two ways:

  1. Submit an online application via the Internet on the bank’s official website and receive a decision almost instantly.
  2. Contact the bank office and leave a request through the manager.

Due to the fact that there are often queues and incompetent employees at bank offices, we strongly recommend that you submit your application via the Internet, as this significantly saves your time. In addition, when you leave an application online, you immediately receive a decision - “approved or not.”

After you have left an online application and received a decision, you will need to contact one of the offices or representative offices of the bank that you chose when submitting your application and receive a non-personalized card. Or arrange free delivery by courier to a convenient address.

“Freedom” + “Benefit” = Beneficial tandem

In addition to the installment card, Home Credit Bank has another card, which is very popular among customers who issue credit cards. This .

This map It is recommended to open simultaneously with an installment card, since you can store your own funds on a debit card at a favorable interest rate of 10% and earn money on it, and at the right time you can use it to pay the minimum payment on your installment card. That is, 2 free cards for different purposes.

In addition, you can transfer salaries and other payments to the card, and then withdraw them from any ATM in the world absolutely free. Or make profitable transfers for 10 rubles to other banks. For example, pay off loans from other credit institutions.

Necessary documents and requirements for the borrower

Before you apply for a card, you need to understand what documents will be required. Here is the list:
