Russian Standard Bank denies information about mass blocking of customer cards, the press service of the credit institution told the Banki.ru portal.

“Russian Standard Bank does not carry out any mass blocking; the number of blockings initiated by the bank does not exceed average values. In exceptional cases, in order to ensure the security of the account and the safety of the client’s funds, the card may be blocked. At the same time, if suspicions of compromise of the card or other violations in its use are not confirmed, the client can unblock the card,” the press service said.

Russian Standard clients publish numerous messages about card blocking in the “People's Rating” section of the Banki.ru portal.

“The day before yesterday, as always, I transferred money from my own current account from another bank, the next day all the cards were blocked (yes, all of them), the Internet bank is empty, one deposit is hanging,” writes one of the clients.

As another client reports, he had previously confirmed the source of origin of the funds, but all his cards were blocked without warning. “I received a message that your cards are blocked. Call the hotline. They said that, according to Law 115, they think that I am a terrorist or that I am using the card for cash withdrawal. My salary and dividends are transferred there. The amounts are small but regular. About a year ago they asked me to bring documents - I did. Now they took it and blocked it, they said, bring the documents. I brought it on the same day (luckily everything was left over from last time), but they said that now I have to wait from three to 30 days,” notes the bank client.

One of the cardholders reports that her card was blocked after money was deposited into her account.

“On the eve of the blocking, I received money in the amount of 86 thousand rubles (free debit card “Bank in your pocket”). Having contacted the bank branch and provided the employees with the available documents on the legality of the income, I received a response that the amount in my account was blocked and could not be issued through the cash desk,” says the client.

In response to customer complaints, the bank informs that the cardholder can receive funds by transferring to a third-party credit institution based on a corresponding application, but first the customer must submit an application to the bank to terminate the agreement.

On September 13, 2013, the security service of Russian Standard Bank blocked the card accounts of my brother, Alexander Vasilyevich Tolochko, to whom I transferred 42,000 rubles from my Qiwi wallet, seeing “fraud” in this operation, and asked him for confirmation of the transfer of money from my wallet to his account . We provided this document, but the security service, through a bank employee who spoke with her by phone, requested a report on the receipt of money in my wallet. I transferred money to my Qiwi wallet from my Russian Standard account, and the bank’s security service has independent access to this information. But she began to demand this document from the Qiwi bank, although the Qiwi bank does NOT PROVIDE a document about the receipt of money into the Qiwi account! I showed this correspondence with the Qiwi bank, and the bank employee began to demand at least a printout from my Internet bank in Russian Standard. And they were told that they would consider our application to unblock the account for at least 30 days. The bank's behavior is simply outrageous; it is looking for any way to illegally hold and use other people's money. Although I transferred this amount to a Qiwi wallet from a credit card, and will have to pay interest to the bank!!!
